The trailer, posted toStar Wars’official X account, depicts the Rebel efforts to take down the Empire with everything they have—finally showing us the birth of the Rebel Alliance. At the end of the trailer, Cassian Andor himself can be heard saying,“Welcome to the Rebellion.”
This thrillingly means that the birth of the Rebel Alliance is finally about to be shown on screen for the first time inStar Warsmovies and TV shows.

This Second Season Is About To Reveal So Much More About The Rebellion
Star Warshas of course depicted different points in the Rebellion before, not only (most obviously) with the original trilogy but also in shows likeStar Wars Rebels. However,Andorseason 2 is about to show Rebel cells coming together in a whole new way, finally giving viewers a look at the true birth of the Rebel Alliance. This is going to inform so much oftheStar Warstimeline, especially becauseAndorhas always had a much more boots-on-the-ground focus than otherStar Warsshows and movies.
It will also be interesting to see how these major players, such as Cassian, Mon Mothma, and Saw Gerrera, come together, particularly given Saw’s extremism compared with Mon Mothma’s more political approach. Even knowing howRogue One: A Star Warsstory ends (and what happens to the Empire), it will be so exciting to see how exactly these events play out in brand-new detail. This Is Sure To Be A Brilliant Addition To Star Wars
I personally cannot wait to see all that transpires in the second season ofAndor. I am a massive fan of the Skywalker Saga, andthe Skywalker family treecomprises many of my favorite characters, but there’s something especially exciting about the unique story this show is telling. In many ways,Andorfeels like a perfect representation of George Lucas' original messaging forStar Wars.
It’s also been a long time coming to see how exactly all of this comes together, and I trust entirely in the creative minds behindAndorseason 2 to stick the landing. With just a little under a month left to go beforeAndorseason 2 releases, I couldn’t be more excited for this show to premiere. As this new trailer makes clear,Andorseason 2 has so much to reveal toStar Warsaudiences, especially pertaining to the birth of the Rebel Alliance.
