A recent post on X by a user namedAniTsumishared a page from issue #43 of Weekly Shōnen Jump dedicated toJujutsu Kaisen’s upcoming finale, which included avague statement that can be translated as “Jujutsu Kaisencontinues” or “Jujutsu Kaisenisn’t over yet.”

Though the rest of the page only talks about celebrating the finale and the special events and gifts planned for the final chapter, many fans got their hopes up and took this as confirmation ofJujutsu Kaisengetting a sequel or a continuation. However, propertranslations of the page have since proved this is not the case.

The Message Is Not Confirmation That Manga Will Continue

The text in question which has caused all this confusion among fans is an editor’s comment featured in the bubble right beside Yuji’s fist. The original text in Japanese reads:

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Disappointing New “Unbelievable Project” Confirms an Unfortunate Trend

Jujutsu Kaisen’s new project has turned out to be a complete letdown and is a sign of a new concerning trend around such announcements in the space.

In fact, the very next line reads “A special edition to commemorate the final episode” which at best could mean an additional special episode or epilogue of sorts following the final chapter. The third sentence is the one in question that caused all the confusion, with the final sentence alluding to a great announcement to come in the upcoming issue which again hints atJujutsu Kaisenreceiving more contentfollowing the finale. However, this isin no way, shape, or form, confirmation that the series will be receiving a continuation.

Jujutsu Kaisen Still Has Plenty to Offer as a Franchise

Overall, given the vast followingJujutsu Kaisenhas acquired over the years, it makes sense that fans would cling to any hope for a continuation. Though a manga sequel may be unlikely at the moment,Jujutsu Kaisenstill has a lot to offer as a franchise to fill the void left behind by the manga’s ending. This includes anupcoming third season adapting the Culling Game Arc, a new feature film adapting the Hidden Inventory Arc, and plenty more that is yet to be announced.
