DespiteElden Ring Nightreign’s differences from its predecessor as a dedicated co-op game, the spin-off is still highly anticipated as something of a follow-up to what is among thegreatest games of all time. Many longtime FromSoftware fans and newerElden Ringaficionados alike will be eager to getNightreignon release day, and possibly even purchase one of its special editions.Nightreign’s price point will contribute to the allure of said special editions as well, which offer both in-game incentives and physical collectibles.
FromSoftware’s typically intriguing character design helps some of its games' figures become rather iconic, as is the case withMalenia asElden Ring’s de facto mascot. Malenia became the focal point ofElden Ring’s special editions content, andNightreignappears to be following a similar tactic, banking on the visual appeal of one of its main characters, the Nightfarers. Prospective purchasers will have three different versions ofNightreignto consider, and each have some odd caveats to consider in addition to their prices.

Every Elden Ring Nightreign Edition & How Much They Cost
Standard, Deluxe, & Collector’s
There are three different editions ofElden Ring Nightreignavailable for purchase: the Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Collector’s Edition, coming in at drastically different price points. The Standard Edition is a run-of-the-mill game purchase, entitling buyers to no extra content, but is reasonably priced at $39.99. One important and odd wrinkle, though, is thatthe Standard and Collector’s Editions ofNightreignwill only have physical copies available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The Standard Edition can still be purchased for PS4 and Xbox One (and PC), but only digitally.

A fourth edition, the Seekers Edition, is available only in Europe. It is essentially the same as the Deluxe Edition, but comes with a SteelBook case.
The Deluxe Edition ofElden Ring Nightreignis roughly $15 more, priced at $54.99.This is still notably lower than the now-standard $70 price that often accompanies new, AAA releases, and is still below the previous $60 standard. The Collector’s Edition is, unsurprisingly, a large leap in terms of price.Nightreign’s most bountiful edition can be had for $199.99.

Everything In Elden Ring Nightreign Deluxe Edition
DLC Included
The Deluxe Edition ofElden Ring Nightreignis only available digitally for its price of $54.99, andpurchasers are entitled to the game itself, the DLC expansions planned for it, a digital artbook, and a mini soundtrack. DLC had not previously been announced forNightreign, but the listing onBandai Namco Entertainment’s website specifies that subsequent expansions will add new playable characters and bosses. This means the game will eventually grow beyond the eight Nightfarers and eight main bosses that it includes at launch.
Preordering any edition entitles you to the “It’s Raining” gesture, which can also be unlocked later in the game.

In an interview withIGN, director Junya Ishizaki said thatNightreignwill not contain areas other than Limveld. In other words, there will not be a map that remixes, for example, Altus Plateau in the same way Limveld adapts Limgrave. Limveld is expected to have significant variety in its randomized instances, but it’s conceivable that new areas could be released as DLC later, though this remains unconfirmed. New Nightfarers, with new abilities, are ripe for expansion content, but locking playable characters behind a paywall has proven controversial in other multiplayer games.
Everything In Elden Ring Nightreign Collector’s Edition
Replica Wylder Helmet
TheElden Ring NightreignCollector’s Edition, going for $199.99, is a physical-only purchase because it involves a number of collectibles. The highlight of the Collector’s Edition is a statue of Wylder, who has featured prominently inNightreign’s promo material as the most spotlighted character in the reveal trailer and as the figure centered on the game’s cover art. Also included in the Collector’s Edition is a SteelBook case, a hardcover artbook, digital soundtrack code, eight tarot cards featuring artwork of each Nightfarer, and a box to store everything all in.
According toBandi Namco’s store page for the Collector’s Edition, the Wylder statue is 25 centimeters tall (nearly 10 inches). It also comes with a physical disc, and the SteelBook case features full-color artwork of Wylder. The hardcover artbook contains 40 pages of “previously unseen concept art, sketches, and full color illustrations.” Just like the Deluxe Edition, the Collector’s Edition includes access to upcoming DLC forElden Ring Nightreign.

$200 may be steep, but those on the fence may have an opportunity withNightreign’s Closed Network Testto see if they like the direction of the spin-off’s gameplay. That may be a deciding factor for players who are amenable to collector’s items, especially sinceNightreignis such a stark departure from its namesake. Regardless, players will have some time to consider their options, withElden Ring Nightreign’s release not happening until May 30. Collector’s Editions are prone to selling out, though, so anyone keen may want to keep tabs.
