The bounties inAvowedare a big part of the game and one of the best ways to get better gear. Not all of them will reward you with better gear alone, but all of them will give you a significant amount of coins for the area you are in,allowing you to buy better versions of your favored weapon or armor. This can significantly reduce the difficulty of the enemies you face, as the number of skulls next to their names will slowly decrease.
There are some strongenemies inAvowed, and the bounties will ask you to defeat many of them.Knowing where they are before you head out into the wilds is also a good thing, as it allows you to avoid accidentally walking directly into one before you are ready. Knowledge is power in this instance, andyou will need to have every bit you can muster to face some of these bountiesdepending on the part of the playthrough you encounter them.

Where To Find All Bounties & Their Rewards
Every Bounty Broken Down By Region
There are 4 regions with bounties inAvowed, andeach of them have 5 bounties. Many of them don’t give you extra rewards, but they will all give an amount of XP and gold depending on the region.
Avowed: All Pargrun Cache Locations & The Unique Items Inside Them
Avowed’s Pargrun Caches are areas scattered across the game’s regions that hold some unique items. These caches are worth seeking out for their loot.
Each region is listed below, with the location in the map screenshots with any extra rewards and notes you get.

Dawnshore Bounties
The Dawnshore region has a surprisingly tough group of bounties to collect for the early game. You can see thelocation of each bounty in the table below, as well as any extra information you need to complete it. Each Dawnshore bounty willreward you with 500 gold.
Nacib
This one is particularly hard to find. The marker will make you think it’s in Paradis proper, but it’s not. You will have to leave Paradis and then follow the marker around the city to a cave that is surrounded by spiders. Nacib is inside that cave underground.
Octav the Firebrand
He’s not too difficult but he does have an encampment of allies. attempt to take out the ranged enemies first, as they will be the most annoying to deal with.
Ralga
This one seemed like an easier one to me, especially if you have facedThalla the Taskmasteralready. They have a very similar style of attack and Ralga has a lot fewer allies.
Tempestuous Luandi
Depending on how early you find this one, it could go either way. I stumbled across it out of curiosity before I found the bounties and was immediately in over my head. However, when I came back later with slightly better gear, it was easy. I’d recommend an arquebus for this fight.
Yellowband Camp
Misc. drops from the different enemies.
This one is hard to get into and hard to fight. Although I had upgraded gear, the sheer number of enemies is overwhelming. The stealth in this game is also disappointing, and you will, at best, get one enemy before the whole camp notices. I ended up standing in one of the house sniping enemies as they came close, which was the only way I could finish this fight.
There are multiple ways into the camp, which you can see in the images below. I went through the gate, as it was no better or worse than any other route.

Out of all of these, Nacib was the hardest to locate but the Yellowband camp was the hardest to finish off. I was as well outfitted as I could have been at this point, and both companions available were with me, but it was a tough fight. Luckily, you do get some goodunique weapons inAvowedoff of these bounties in Dawnshore.
Emerald Stair Bounties
As always there are 5 bounties that you can make while visiting Fior mes Iverno.I ran into a lot of these by accidentas I was running along the map searching for treasure, and it would have been more beneficial to claim the bounties so I knew where they were.
Belderreno
None
This one can be hard to find. You will want to be at the surface level of the river. There is a lot of scaffolding and enemy camps along the river, but you will want to look specifically for a cave. The quest marker makes it look like it will be higher up, but it is on ground level.
Tranton Family Unique Gear:
This one isn’t that hard of a fight but it is a bit of a crawl. As you can see in the map, the location where you start fighting is quite sooner. You will pass an abandoned building which you can open with a key sitting on a chest, after which you will start making your way through a slog of enemies a little bit at a time until you reach the bounty. The enemies heard and noticed me before I got that far, so I didn’t even reach the location before I started fighting them.
Old Nuna
The bounties that are within areas you have to travel to often don’t have a big circle on the map like you can see around Naku Tedek. Instead, it is just a single marker when you get close. Old Nuna is quite easy to get to, just follow the marker and enter the cave.
Delemgan
This one is out in the middle of the Wildwoods and you are likely to stumble across it while traveling. The Delegman enemies are difficult at times, but I’d recommend using fire damage if you have a way to do so.
Xaurips
This is near the starting area in Emerald Stair and is one of the easier bounties. Do this one first if you are going to pick one.
All bounties in Emerald Stair will net you750 gold.
I was worried when I finished the main quest in the Emerald Stair that I wouldn’t be able to complete the bounties withFior’s people gone. However, they linger in the camp for a little while after you have completed the main quest, and you can still collect any bounties you finish there.
Most of these bounties don’t give you extra rewards, but the money is worth it andmany of them have a treasure chest or reward nearbyonce you have cleared the enemies out.

Shatterscarp Bounties
The bounties in this region were tough fights, but I found the fight for the side quest involving the missing party of warriors much harder. However, thefirst one I beat was a bit of a grind, and it is one that you are likely to accidentally run into when you are making your way to Thirdborn for the first time. Bounties in Shatterscarp willnet you 1200 gold.
Kukae Maka
Misc.
This one is a little too easy to run into. The initial fight is difficult, but the hardest part is when you think you have whittled down the enemies to just Kukae, a new wave of enemies will appear and some of them are quite tough. My recommendation would be to take out the ranged enemies first.
Captain Tago
Various from all the different enemies.
There are a lot of enemies here, even if it doesn’t look like it at first. Many of the bounties here also have a Priest or Healer of some kind, and you should always take those out first. Again, this one will have an extra burst of enemies partway through.
Koda & Dario
Essence Potion
These two are one of the few bounties that are not hostile when you walk up. They will not engage you until you engage them, and you may want to wait. They are a little tough, but they are not the worst enemy inAvowed.
Moi Piki
As you can see with the giant quest marker right next to this one, it nearly overlaps with the main quest area. This means you will likely run into it. The enemies are mostly giving off fire damage, so you can counter with frost.
Xaurip Captain Grithin
This one didn’t stand out in my mind. It was pretty easy to get through all considered and you may finish it a bit quicker than the other bounties.
Kukae Maka’s bounty location is just to the side of the road when you are making your way to Thirdborn, and it looks like any other enemy encampment you have passed on the way until you realize it isn’t. Many of the enemies here will be a full 3-Skulls when you first pass by, and you will likely want to run past for the time being. Additionally, while Kukae might not drop anything,The Emperor’s Reachis in the body on the ground nearby. You will get theBraces of Bloodlettingfor finishing all 5.

Galawain’s Tusks
There are some very difficult fights here, but this is also when you should be getting some legendary gear as well. Each bounty will net you 1800 gold, but unfortunately, none of them will drop any cool weapons. That said, there is often a chest with something near each of them, so make sure to take a look around before heading back to collect.
Congasar And Crusta

This is the easiest one to get to in Galawain’s Tusks and also one of the more difficult ones. Both enemies are 3-Star Legendaries in terms of difficulty, so if you stumble on this one early you are going to have some issues. That said, if you make sure to get the Priests as soon as they appear, you should be fine.
Urvolnau
Bloodwrithe Toadstool
This one is also not hard to find, and it is easier than the others. You should be well used to killing upset and infected bears at this point.
The Sporeking
This location is quite hard to get to. This is only one way across to the area that The Sporeking is in. You will want to find the ruins connected to the broken bridge. Go to the left side of the ruins if you are facing the bridge and look for wooden platforms to scale. You can see two arrows on the map to guide you. Follow the path around, there will be a skeleton with a reward near the end. From there, look for a balcony in the ruins to drop down to, and you can cross the ruins.
Mater Mare
I found this to be the easiest bounty but one of the harder ones to get to. However, you can to an extent follow the quest marker there, but you will have to jump between abandoned buildings and into a cave to crawl around to the right area. You will be facing a large number of Beetles, but it should be the easiest of the bounties to collect.
Destul
This one is in the same region as the main quest after you enter Solace Keep for the first time and are tasked with finding the Steel Garrote. Follow the main quest and then continue a little further north to find Destul.
Mater Mare is one of the easiest fights, but the rest I found quite hard. However, I was pursuing most of them near the beginning of my time in Galawain’s Tusks, and they get easier the longer you are in a region and the more gear you have.Congasar and Crusta were the hardest, in my opinion, so be well-prepared going into that fight. Otherwise, traversing the region is the hardest partof fulfilling any of these quests.

How To Get Bounties
Quest Giver & Bounty Boards
Every region has a bounty board, usually quite close to the merchants. In Paradis, it will be in the Market District, which I found strangely easy to miss. I ran around Paradis multiple times without ever walking through it, even by accident, until I purposely looked for merchants on the map to see what gear I could buy. Regardless, if you can’t find it, there is a ! on the map for every side quest, including the bounties. Look for the one inParadis’ Market Districtto find the board.
“It’s Actually Reasonable To Finish”: Avowed Composer Praises The Game’s Appeal To Casual Players
In a recent ScreenRant interview, Avowed composer Venus Theory praised the game’s ability to strike a balance between depth and casual appeal.
In Fior mes Iverno, you will find it close to where you first enter the city. After the city’s destruction, the board will be on a wall in the middle of the new campsite the people made. In Shatterscarp, the bounties are located between two merchants, closest to the fish merchant who is near where you meet Yatzli in Thirdborn for the first time. In Galawain’s Tusks, it is near the front of Solace Keep once you enter the area, which you can only reach with Marius after checking out The Garden for yourself first.

How To Upgrade Gear
Gear That Will Help You Take Down Enemies
Upgrading gear likearmor inAvowedis straightforward but can be hard to accomplish. You will need a lot of materials in order to have everything in top condition, andthere is not an easy way to track upgrade materials like there is in other games. However, it is crucial, as almost every enemy in a new region will feel a bit like a boss when you first enter it.
There are three main options for upgrading your gear:
I found it easiest tobuy new versions of non-unique gear. Some merchants also have unique gear, which I usually looked at to see if it was better than what I had. I saved upgrade materials for the unique gear. Bosses are tough, but I didn’t often switch out gear for specific fights. Sometimes I wouldswap my second loadout between an arquebus and a one-handed ranged weapon and a grimoire, depending on the circumstance, but nothing more than that.
Always take out enemy healers or enemies that spawn minions first. Getting swarmed and not being able to defeat enemies will be the bane of your existence.

The first bit of any region is going to be difficult, even if your gear was as upgraded as possible when leaving the former region. Bounties almost always start as 3-Skulls each, and a hit from one of the bosses can easily be a KO. I would advisealways saving at a safe but close distance to the bounty targetbefore engaging. You don’t want to lose any prior progress, and the autosave won’t checkpoint you until after you have beaten the boss.
However, being at a safe distance allows you totravel back to a merchant or Party Campso that you can regroup, change your loadout, or try again another time. If a specific fight seems impossible, go away, find a different quest or boss that doesn’t seem as challenging, and try to collect the bounty again another time inAvowed.
