While it’s still hard to believe thatFBI: InternationalandFBI:Most Wantedare both coming to an end, eyes are on the new spinoff series likely coming to theFBIuniverse.FBI: CIAhas yet to be greenlit, but the fact that it’s moving from a backdoor pilot to a straight-to-series option is hopeful. The benefit of the series is that it doesn’t need to bring in a lot of new characters, as there are plenty from the twoFBIshows that are ending to step in.

Sure,FBI: Most Wantedseason 6andFBI: Internationalseason 4have both had time to craft series finales, but there are still sure to be open-ended storylines. The writers of both shows have had to pivot for the final episodes to offer closure, and that often means that some characters are forgotten about at the end. They need time inFBI: CIAto continue their growth, while offering us something familiar to get us into the series.

Vinessa Vidot as Cameron Vo in FBI: International

Agent Cameron Vo

Vo Needs Time To Move Up The Ranks In FBI: International

Agent Cameron Vo (Vinessa Vidotto) is one of just two OGFBI: Internationalcharacters remaining, and she has had some of the most growth throughout the series. With the new spinoff, there is still room for her to continue that growth. Whilethe best way to endInternationalis with Vo taking over the Fly Team, that won’t necessarily happen. Vo made it clear to Wes Mitchell that the reason she couldn’t take over the team is because she’s not a GS-14 just yet.

Wes And Cam Romance Chances & “Surprising” Character Absence In FBI: International Season 4, Episode 9 Addressed By Star Vinessa Vidotto

ScreenRant interviews Vinessa Vidotto about the relationship between Cameron Vo and Jesse Lee Soffer’s Wes Mitchell in FBI: International season 4.

Coming into the newFBIspinoff serieswould give her a chance to gain the needed skills to gain that promotion. It would also make sense for someone on the Fly Team to move over to work with the CIAas the CIA can’t operate on U.S. grounds. Rather than take someone out of the United States, it’s best to have someone who has experience in Europe and other parts of the world.

Agent Nina Chase

Nina Is A fan-Favorite Character Who Has Already Moved Series

Agent Nina Chase (Shantel VanSanten) has already moved from the flagshipFBIseries toFBI: Most Wanteddue to the way she quickly became a beloved character within the franchise. She is a woman who loves her career and doesn’t mind dangerous work. While there are hopes thatShantel VanSanten could rejoin theFBIcast in a season 7, there is the option of moving her onto theCIAspinoff series.

She is a woman who loves her career and doesn’t mind dangerous work.

Nina Chase and Tiffany Wallace talking in FBI

Nina currently works on capturing the most dangerous criminals in the United States, and she would want to continue that work. She could get the job offer to go overseas, but there is a small issue with this, as she would need a reason to leave her son and boyfriend behind. Factoring that in,maybe she could come into the series as a recurring guest star rather than a permanent team memberto settle us into the new series.

Agent Amanda Tate

Amanda Deserves More Backstory And Development

One of the most overlookedFBI: Internationalcharacters is Agent Amanda Tate (Christina Wolfe). Initially introduced in the season 3 premiere, she runs the tech support team, getting all the much-needed information and hacking into systems when necessary to support the Fly Team. The CIA is going to need someone just like her when it comes to the cases that they get.

I Like Wes, But FBI: International Needs To Focus On A Different Character Instead

FBI: International seems to have forgotten about the other members of the Fly Team while focusing on Wes, especially members of the support team.

Amanda’s personal storylines have been pushed aside in season 4 to introduce Wes Mitchell, and the new spinoff can correct that wrong. As long as the FBI team working with the CIA has a base of operations, she would be able to keep custody of her daughter, which is her main concern when working. It’s time to shine a light on her tech and support skills.

Agent Andre Raines

Raines Would Also Bring Tank Into The Series

The other of the two OG characters fromFBI: Internationalis Agent Andre Raines (Carter Redwood), and he is another overlooked character in the entire series. We’ve got to know his sister, but that’s about it, andit’s clear that his list of people to call that Amanda found in season 4 wasn’t that long. The downside of focusing so much on other characters is that we don’t know why that it.

Plus, he is looking after Tank, so it meansFBI: CIAcould bring Tank into the series as well.

Alexa Davalos as Kristin Gaines surprised on FBI: Most Wanted

The spinoff series would have a chance to correct that, and there’s a chance to see Raines grow more as an agent. He was at the Fly Team before Vo, and yet she is the one getting the promotions within the team before him, meaning his character development has stagnated. Another TV series could help to see him find his place within the team to grow further. Plus, he is looking after Tank, so it meansFBI: CIAcould bring Tank into the series as well.

Agent Kristin Gaines

Gaines Was Unfairly Written Out Of FBI: Most Wanted

Agent Kristin Gaines (Alexa Davalos) came into FBI: Most Wanted during the third season after the loss of Kellan Lutz’s Ken Crosby. While quickly cementing herself as a trusted member of the team, she also had an intriguing backstory from her time working with the Miami Field Office. Over the course of two seasons, her backstory was explored, and then she was suddenly written out of the series.

I Was Optimistic That FBI: Most Wanted & International Can Be Saved, But A New Reveal Douses My Hopes

FBI: Most Wanted and International both have potential new homes, but there’s one aspect of their cancelations that confirms they can’t be saved.

FBI: Most Wanted’s season 5 premiere included one line about where Gaines had gone, but it didn’t seem to fit the character we had come to know and love. Bringing her intoFBI: CIAcould offer a chance to fix the problem since a lack ofFBI: Most Wantedseason 7prevents that, potentially sharing that she had to go deep undercover, even working with the CIA long before the spinoff series idea was conceived.

The new FBI series doesn’t need to start from scratch with characters, with a world of options fromFBI: Most WantedandFBI: International. Some of these characters still deserve a fully fleshed-out backstory.
