However, while being directed to kill his partner, Carlos states that there is one other person with access to the CIs. Rashad Raisani: We knew that the betrayal had to hit as close to home as possible because the person Carlos trusted the most would be the only person who could have kept it from him this long. And frankly, we also wanted somebody of Alan Autry’s gravitas. He was the only person capable of pulling the wool over Gabriel’s eyes also.

So that was part of why I really wanted it to be the person who could hurt Carlos the most to be the one who did it, because he was the only one who could stay in front of these two brilliant minds being Carlos and Gabriel the way that he did. And I also was hoping that the audience, because of Parker Young, and I love Parker, but he has this sort of rakish, quasi-cocky manner about him that the audience would go, “Okay, you know what? I can kind of see this cocky guy might do this.”

But at the end of the day, one thing I know about Parker as well is that he has this deep goodness about him. And I think at the end of this episode, you see when he’s in the hospital, and I think his performance is brilliant, but he’s almost crying because he’s still mourning their chief who betrayed him. The main point is the person that Carlos and Gabriel trusted the most in the world was the only one who could have been capable of deceiving them at the level that he did.

Carlos' Decision In The 9-1-1: Lone Star Fall Finale Honors Gabriel’s Legacy

He wants to become a father.

After Enzo is arrested in9-1-1: Lone Starseason 5, episode 7, Jonah is left without a guardian. TK wants to adopt his little brother instead of sending him to boarding school, but Carlos previously emphasized that he doesn’t want kids. While the news came as a disappointment, his fiancé accepted that children may not be a part of their future. However,Jonah’s circumstances are dire enough for the couple to revisit the idea.

TK would never abandon his brother, especially after their mom’s tragic death. Sending Jonah to Switzerland means allowing him to be raised by an institution rather than a family who loves him. Gwyn wouldn’t have wanted that life for her son, and TK doesn’t either. Therefore, the problem lay with the timing. Carlos struggled to focus on anything outside the murder investigation, and he didn’t feel he had the mental capacity to be a parent.
